Asaf Peres Fun Fun Fun Fun Parts

Oboe, Soprano Saxophone, Bb Clarinet, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet
3 Movements: Backseat Fun, Uncomfortable Fun, Techno Fun

Commissioned by the Akropolis Reed Quintet, Fun Fun Fun Fun was composed by Israeli composer Asaf Peres in 2011. “Fun Fun Fun Fun”—the title itself a quote from a YouTube sensation Rebecca Black song—is the product of Asaf Peres, a composer who wrote his dissertation on pop-classical music; he is also an apt composer of minimalism. “Fun Fun Fun Fun” plays jokes rhythmically and ends with a fury of techno music.
