The Akropolis Reed Quintet are as fun as can be, but they’re nobody’s fools! The imaginative Akropolis Reed Quintet (clarinet, oboe, saxophone, bassoon, & bass clarinet) has won numerous prizes including the Fischoff Gold Medal and Fischoff Educator Award. Their repertoire ranges from Baroque to hip hop, including contemporary pieces written just for them. Join the quintet as they take a break from their NINETEEN•TWENTY show with BodyVox to play a special program for you at the Southwest Portland home of Ravi Vedanayagam and Ursula Luckert, who will prepare a grand feast (and maybe a few surprises) fit for April Fool’s day!
