Akropolis has been working closely with the Steamboat Springs High School and Moffat County High School this year. Over seven workshops and multiple videos during the 2017-2018 school year, the jazz band students have arranged Gershwin preludes for performance, and concert band students have worked in small chamber ensembles for the first time ever in this program. Akropolis has mentored both groups throughout the entire year, guiding them through this process along with their excellent band directors.

On March 22, Akropolis plays alongside both bands in a culminating concert, where the students perform the world premiere of their original Gershwin prelude arrangements, as well as perform in small chamber ensembles.
