Absolutely unreal! If you had told us 10 years ago when we were sitting in this very Symphony Band that Akropolis would be where we are today, we wouldn't have believe it. What a privilege to come out of this program and now be invited back to celebrate the #reedquintet and our 10 years of music making together. ⁠⠀

So far our week is off to an awesome start rehearsing ⚡️Storm Warning with the Symphony Band and @ryanreynoldsbassoon giving a bassoon master class for the students of his former teacher @bsnlyman. All the students are sounding fantastic and we’re so pumped to be back working with all of these awesome musicians!

1 WEEK FROM TODAY, we'll be premiering Roshanne Etezady's concerto for reed quintet and wind band, ⚡Storm Warning⚡, with the University of Michigan Symphony Band—the ensemble in which the five of us met ten years ago—under the direction of our long-time mentor and teacher, Professor Michael Haithcock.⁠⠀
