Join Akropolis, all 5 composers, poet Marsha Music, and illustrator Ashton Springer on YouTube for a virtual event celebrating the release of Ghost Light on April 9, 2021.
Our Ghost Light live streamed concert features Akropolis performing highlights from each work on the album, live interviews with all 5 album composers Stacy Garrop, Michael Gilbertson, Niloufar Nourbakhsh, Theo Chandler, and Jeff Scott, and includes appearances by Detroit historian and author Marsha Music, whose poetry is featured on the album, and the illustrator who created the amazing album artwork, Ashton Springer!

Akropolis has hosted a free album release concert for every CD we've created, and this event is no exception. We are opening up this event to one and all to be attended for free! Just register at the link below and all of the event details and the YouTube live stream link will be sent right to your email.

AT THE EVENT
Unlike several of the events and virtual soirées Akropolis has hosted over the last year where we've you've joined us on Zoom, this live-streamed concert will take place on a private YouTube live stream. No need for you to jump on Zoom! Just pop over to the YouTube link you received after registering or purchasing your ticket, and you'll be able to watch the show!
We will have a live-chat open during the event, so you'll have a chance to meet your fellow audience members worldwide, interact with all of the artists on the album, and chat with Akropolis throughout the performance.
We encourage you to make an event of it! Invite family and friends to purchase a ticket as well, enjoy a homemade refreshment, and log in a few minutes early on the biggest computer screen you have! However, please do limit your private YouTube link to the folks in your household, and encourage friends in other households to purchase their own ticket.
We highly encourage you to tune in with headphones or an external speaker connected to your computer, as the event will feature Akropolis performing LIVE with very high quality microphones. This will sound as good as the speakers you are using!
This live stream concert will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Ypsilanti, MI, the very location where the album was recorded. The live stream itself will be operated by Dave Schall Acoustic.

How long is the live stream?
90 minutes. Linger after on the chat for mingling with artists and guests.
Will Akropolis be performing live, or is this pre-recorded?
Akropolis is performing live! We are streaming our live performance to you via the YouTube link you've been provided, this April 9th at 4pm EDT. During the performance we will also give live interviews with our composer and other artistic collaborators, who will join the live stream remotely.
What is your refund policy?
We understand that plans change! If you no longer can attend the show or no longer wish to receive the swag from your ticket level purchase, please make your refund request prior to 48 hours before the show. We are happy to provide a full refund. All refund requests within 48 hours of a performance will not be granted and your ticket purchase will be donated back to our nonprofit organization as an in-kind contribution.
When will I receive my swag I purchased with my ticket?
If you purcased a ticket, you will receive your download, physical CD, or merchandise on or after April 9, 2021 depending on your purchase. If you selected to receive a digital download of the album, it will arrive directly in your inbox via Akropolis' Bandcamp right on April 9! All additional physical merchandise including the phsyical CD will be mailed on April 10, 2021. You'll also receive a notification once these items have shipped!
How will I receive the YouTube link to attend?
Following the purchase of your ticket in our online store, you will receive 2 emails. The first is an email confirming your order and the second is your actual virtual ticket complete with instructions and the actual YouTube live stream link! If you don't receive either of these emails, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Is this merchandise available anywhere else?
Nope! The poster, journal, and hoodie are all only exclusively available to those folks who purchase a ticket to attend our live stream CD release event. Get these items while you can!
