This album, released January 2012, was the first album of its kind consisting of all original works for reed quintet.

The album is the product of Akropolis’ collaborations with composers stretching from the United States to Isreal, Canada, and the Netherlands.

Characterized by its energy and technical mastery, High Speed Reed was a landmark achievement for Akropolis.

#bestof2020 🙏 Despite everything, we are filled #bestof2020 🙏 Despite everything, we are filled with gratitude for so much in 2020. A year filled with challenges and change, we experienced so many joyous moments and triumphs against all odds.

➜ Premiering our first concerto ⚡Storm Warning by Roshanne Etezady with the @umichsmtd Symphony Band
 
➜ Performing a concert and outreach with San Antonio Chamber Music Society which included sharing our music with the city's Juvenile Detention Center

➜ Touring Arizona for 2 weeks which included concerts and tons of local outreach work 

➜ Our final live audience concert before the pandemic at the @uiowamusic

➜Leading our first-ever Akropolis Mastermind designed to help musicians build the career and businesses of their dreams

➜Joining forces with poet Marsha Music and composer Jeff Scott to present our 6-show Club Paradise Virtual Soirée

➜Our first socially distant, outdoor concert with Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck at the @saugatuck_arts

➜Working with the unreal pianist/composer/creator @pascalleboeuf and drummer @christianeuman on a massive new collaboration 

➜Our view from the stage in 2020, mainly behind a video camera recording & streaming so many performances and premieres
